Blank and circular welding lines for the production of durable household appliances at BSH

BSH Hausgeräte GmbH in Dillingen has been a customer of Weil Technology GmbH for about 30 years:
Werner Öfele, head of the group for the procurement of machines, systems and tools for both sheet metal and plastics processing at BSH Hausgeräte in Dillingen, and production planner Lisa Stapf talking about the cooperation.

How do you produce high-quality, long-lasting household appliances? Without undersizing or oversizing components in order to avoid premature failures or unnecessarily high costs? In the specific case of BSH Hausgeräte GmbH, this involves stainless steel inner containers for dishwashers: Here, aggressive cleaning agents and salts require particularly corrosion-resistant and high-quality stainless steel in the bottom area – in contrast to the rest of the container shell. If the tank is made from two different sheets, the challenge lies in the weld seam.

Against this background, a cooperation between BSH Hausgeräte GmbH in Dillingen and Weil Technology GmbH was established in the early 1990s. We developed machines that enable different material qualities to be joined and used as required using laser technology in order to form a durable housing that reliably withstands temperature influences and hygiene requirements.

Lisa Stapf and Werner Öfele talk about the beginnings of the collaboration and the joint success to date in our film, which we were allowed to record at BSH Hausgeräte GmbH in Dillingen.
